- well hello ~ i'm jenna or jen whichever you prefer. :) i grew up in a small town in southern illinois, but left when i was done with highschool so i could spread my wings over in california. i'm a mermaid at heart, and i need to be near the ocean to survive. i've been working in fashion for the past 7 years, but i still struggle to survive in the world of stilettos, because i am and will always be more of a barefoot beach bum. i truly love all things beautiful ~ photography, painting, designing, decorating, and really just creating anything! i'm currently trying to fix up our little beach bungalow, and learn how to be a housewife. (on the housewife note ~ my mister did marry me knowing i don't know how to cook, i'm completely messy, and when he leaves i eat pizza, cereal, brownies, and peanut butter sandwiches for every meal. and yet he still loves me!) this blog really just journals my life and everything i love ~ hope you enjoy it!

We live in Marina Del Rey, California on the beautiful Bora Bora canal. We've lived here for 2 years now, and I still think hearing the sea lions in the morning makes me the happiest. Recently I decided it's time to really start working on decorating our beach bungalow.
Work
What can I say, I love my job! I've been lucky enough to work at Rock & Republic for the past 3 years. :) I started as an intern and worked my way up to become the Merchandising Manager.
Play
I could spend every waking second on a beach and be in heaven. I would be totally satisfied, soaking up the sun, beach cruising, surfing, playing in the waves, digging for sand crabs, running in the wind, skating down the boardwalk, sipping drinks with friends, laughing at the shapes of clouds, taking in the palm tree fireworks, and the best part I could be barefoot the whole time. There is NOTHING I appreciate more than having my barefeet on the ground... no matter what kind of ground it is. That's all I need; the secret to my happiness.
